Krakow Airport is a hub for LOT Polish Airlines, Ryanair, Wizz Air, and Buzz. Arrival of local and foreign travelers has been one of Krakow’s generating sources of income. Therefore, new transportation systems have been added in the metro.
In addition to road access by private car or taxi, the airport has added other options: train and bus.
Inbound guests are advised to check their belongings before aircraft disembarkation. Signages are provided for passengers leading to the Arrivals Hall.
The baggage claim area is located before the arrivals hall after the passport and security check with free baggage trolleys near the baggage carousels.
Rental Cars Services at Kraków Airport
Kraków Airport offers several rental car services at the airport upon your arrival. Rent-A-Car companies have offices at the airport located at all stands - passenger terminal, level +1.
In renting a car, drivers must have an International Driver's License (IDL) or an official translation in the language of the country of rental. They must have the necessary documents to support their driver's license, such as a valid ID/Passport, proof of billing, or a bank statement that shows their address.

Vehicles are available at the airport 24/7. You can also book or order your taxi online or by phone.

Train Services at Kraków Airport
Krakow Airport has a train station near the passenger terminal, precisely behind the multi-story car park connected by a footbridge.
The SKA1 suburban line operates from the Airport to Kraków Główny (Main railway station) and Wieliczka. The service resumed in September 2015. It takes about 17 minutes to get to the city center and 20 minutes to Wieliczka (for Salt Mine).
Trains are equipped with air conditioning, power outlets, WiFi, and ticket machines. It also provides spaces for disabled passengers and persons with reduced mobility (PRM).
Bus Services at Kraków Airport
Public buses link the airport day and night with the central railway and bus station in Krakow and the ICE Congress Centre.
Three Agglomeration Bus Lines serve Krakow Airport: 209 and 300, and one night line: 902.

Disabled Passengers at Kraków Airport
Disabled persons have the right to special assistance at the airport and during their flights. The airport and the airlines are obliged to give free aid to the disabled and to provide them with proper facilities according to EU regulations (EC 1107 directive dated 5/07/2006). At Kraków Airport, services and assistance for the disabled are provided by their handling agent - the WAS - KRK Airport Services Ltd.

There is a unique "blue path" at the airport. It is an innovative system of signs and unique help points, which makes it easier for disabled persons to travel through the airport and reach terminal facilities.

The Lost & Found Office is located at the passenger terminal, level +1 (next to the Security Check Point).
The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
Pick-up of items is only possible during office opening hours.
Items found in the passenger terminal, excluding luggage lost in air transport or items left on board the aircraft, are handed over to the Lost and Found Office at the airport. Passengers who have lost their luggage after arriving in Krakow should report it to one of the Lost Luggage Offices.
The owner must be the one to pick-up the lost and found item and should provide the necessary document, such as a valid identification card for proof. If otherwise, please comply the Annex 4 to the BRZ Regulations. Write an authorization letter on behalf of the person authorized to collect the item, along with the information clause.
Restrooms at Kraków Airport

It does not hurt to be prepared. You can have your local currencies exchanged at your place of origin before your travel. Consult with your banks for currency exchange, or if they allow cash withdrawals to the country you are traveling to so that you do not have to bring a wad of cash with you.

Krakow Airport is the first airport in Poland to introduce a unique facility for four-legged friends. Within its premises is a paddock equipped with drinking water, benches, baskets, containers with pet-waste bags, animal toys, and obstacles such as hurdles, ramps, and jumps.
Only the animals using air transport, police dogs, and assistance dogs for people with disabilities can enter the passenger terminal, according to the regulations.
Airlines usually apply an extra charge for allowing an animal to travel inside the aircraft. It is advisable for guests traveling with pets to inform their airline ahead of time because the number of animals permitted on board is often limited. Larger animals can sometimes be transported as air cargo in compliance with special regulations.
